Purchasing Passes/Tickets
You need:
A phone that can receive an SMS text message
The required data to create an account
Everything you need to be able to pay the tickets
Your tickets will be linked to your phone number. You will log in with your phone number, you receive required to log in by SMS.
To create your account, we ask the following information:
- First and last name (mandatory)
- E-mail address (mandatory)
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Address (optional)
- City/Country
Upon purchase, SkipRope always sends a confirmation e-mail with the date, passes/tickets and price paid.
If you need an invoice, we advise you to contact the event organizer. We do not provide invoices, because the revenue belongs to the organizer.
Your passes/tickets are kept safely in your private SkipRope wallet. This is the only place where they are kept.
The easiest way to see your tickets is by using the SkipRope mobile aplication:
Install the SkipRope app on your phone. It is available for Android and iOS.
You can use it to view, share, sell and have your tickets scanned at the event.
Note: Your account is connected to your phone number. If you log in with a different phone number than the one you bought the tickets with, you won't see any tickets. In the confirmation e-mail, you will find the phone number you used for the booking.
Did you pay but you can't find your tickets? Please contact us.
No, you can only purchase passes/tickets through our mobile application.
The payment methods we offer include credit card and Apple Pay
This differs per business. The limit is displayed in the lower left of the screen when you are buying your passes/tickets. The limit is set per telephone number.
If you want to order more tickets, have someone with a different phone number buy the extra tickets.
Create Account / Log in
You need to enter your mobile number including your country code.
For example +1 for the USA. Otherwise you won’t be able to receive the text message.
SkipRope passes/tickets are linked to telephone numbers. Log in with your mobile phone! You do not need to set a password. Every time you want to log in, you will receive a 4-digit code from us by SMS that gives you access to your account.
When you log in with your phone number for the first time, you fill in the required information. Once saved, your account is created!
You can login via our app, available for Android and iOS.
Because SkipRope passes/tickets are linked to your telephone number, only one account can be created per +1 number.
If you are going to buy passes/tickets, you will be asked to create an account during the ordering process. So you don't have to do this in advance!
To create your account, we ask the following information:
- First and last name (mandatory)
- E-mail address (mandatory)
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Address (optional)
- City/Country
It's important you fill in the country code, for example +1 for the USA. Otherwise you won't be able to receive the text message.
It's important you fill in the country code, for example +1 for the USA. Otherwise you won't be able to receive the text message.
Sometimes, it can take some time for a phone to actually receive a text message.
It is possible that a setting in your phone or at your telecom provider prevents you from receiving the SMS. We use A2P messages (Application-to-person) and sometimes these type of messages are rejected. Your provider can help you with checking this setting
Queue
With low supply and high demand, we utilize a queue.
To join this queue, we ask you to enter your mobile phone number and e-mail address. Your place in the queue will be linked to this information, so make sure you do not make any (spelling) mistakes! You can only buy tickets with the phone number you used when entering the queue.
The queue opens automatically when the sale starts. You will receive live feedback about your chance to get tickets.
You will not receive an e-mail or SMS when it's your turn to buy tickets. We advise you to leave the queue open and to look at it (occasionally). You may refresh the queue, but it's not necessary and will not affect your position.
While you are waiting, you will receive live updates of the expected waiting time and your chance to get tickets. As soon as it's your turn, you'll see it on your screen.
There is no need to refresh the page. This happens automatically.
Your place in the queue is linked to your data. It does not go faster when you refresh, but you won't lose your place if you do.
So short answer: Yes you can refresh. But, no, you don't have a bigger chance to get tickets if you do.
No worries! Your place in the queue is linked to your data. Even if you log in on another device (phone, tablet or PC), your place will remain the same.
Because your place is linked to your data, you have to enter the queue with the same mobile phone number and e-mail address.
My Tickets
If this is the case, you are probably logged in with the wrong phone number. You can only view your passes/tickets when logged in with the phone number you used when purchasing the tickets. In your confirmation e-mail you will find which phone number you used at that point.
Are you logged in with the wrong phone number? Please log out first. You can do this by clicking on the 3 lines at the top right of the screen, and then choosing 'log out'.
Then enter the correct phone number in the login screen and log in with the SMS code that you will receive.
Did you not receive a confirmation email? It could be that the payment has not been processed correctly. In exceptional cases, it may happen that the bank informs us that the payment has failed, but that it is processed correctly later. Often the transaction is correctly completed within the hour. Do you still not see tickets in your account after an hour? Please contact us.
First, check your spam. It is possible that the confirmation e-mail ended up there. Is it not there?
You may have made a typo in your e-mail address. If you are logged in (via guts.events) you can view your e-mail address at 'Your profile' and adjust if necessary. If you have changed your e-mail address, you will receive all future SkipRope e-mails there.
Information from the e-mail:
Then, of course, you have still missed the confirmation e-mail. No panic: your ticket will not be sent by e-mail. Here is all the important information from the e-mail:
Your tickets will be kept safely online in your SkipRope account, which you can open on your mobile phone. It is recommended to do this ahead of the event, in order to save time and avoid long lines. You can always find your tickets on our app.
Free tickets can always be returned. This works the same as putting your tickets up for sale, only now you return the ticket automatically.
Purchased tickets cannot be canceled. It is, however, possible to put your tickets up for sale.
The legal time to consider your purchase (right of withdrawal) does not apply to the sale of tickets, as stated in our terms and conditions.
Of course it's possible that for whatever reason you are going to change your phone number. The easiest way to preserve your tickets in this case is to share your tickets with a friend before your current number is deactivated. They can then share the tickets with you on your new number again. Read about how sharing works.
If you already have a new phone number, please contact us.
To prevent fraud, we ask for official proof of your number change. It's important for us to see that you are indeed the owner of the new number. Therefore, it's important that your name and phonenumber is visible.
After receiving the documents, we ensure that your tickets are transferred and accessible via your new mobile number.
Scanning my Tickets
GUTS' tickets are protected agains scalping and fraud. To register that you are the rightful owner of a ticket, an active internet connection is required. GUTS ensures that there is always a working WiFi connection available at events.
To enter, you need to bring your smartphone. At the entrance all tickets are scanned directly from your account, do please make sure you can access your tickets with just one click. The easiest way to do so is by downloading our app!
Sharing
If you are going with a group, you can choose to share your tickets beforehand. This helps, if, for example, you don't have internet on your phone but your friend who is joining you has. You can then share your tickets before the event to make sure you both can get in!
No problem! You can open the QR code and then enlarge/reduce and drag it, exactly to the place on your phone where you don't have a crack.
Make sure you have installed the GUTS app. Click on the QR code to open it, then you can drag it.
On the day of the event (usually a few hours before doors open) the encryption automatically disappears, so you can have the tickets scanned at the entrance. Of course, the tickets are still secured against illegal resale and duplication.
If the lock has disappeared, you will see 1 QR-code. At GUTS we have 1 QR-code for your entire order, no matter the number of tickets. This way, we only have to scan once to give you (and your group) access. In this way, we keep the lines as short as possible.
Are you not entering the event at the same time?
Then share your tickets in advance. You share tickets using a different QR-code, so this is possible at any time - even if the tickets are still locked.
The short answer: No.
Tickets from GUTS are protected from scalping and fraud. Everything that happens to our smart tickets is registered digitally, and the ticket will always remain the same price.
Our tickets only work when they are scanned directly from your mobile phone, screenshots will not work.
Sharing Tickets
If you bought tickets for yourself and/or someone else, you can share the tickets with those relatives. If you share tickets, you will end up in a group together. Everyone in your group can manage the tickets and has the same rights as you. A group member can sell a ticket, or use it at the entrance without you being there. This is why you only share tickets with people you really know and trust.
Here you will find the frequently asked questions about sharing:
This depends on the settings of event (chosen by the organizer). There are two options:
- Sharing via a QR code: You can scan a code from one phone to another. This QR code is not the same as the entrance QR code but only for sharing. You need to be physically together to share the tickets. Read more about it here.
- Sharing via link: You have a personal link in the app that you can share via WhatsApp/e-mail to make sure the other person can join your group. If the person opens this link he/she will see a screen saying you are sharing tickets with them and if they agree to his. Read more about that here.
For both options you need the latest GUTS Tickets app. You can download this in the App- or Playstore. Log in the app and open the tickets by clicking on it. Underneath you will find a button to 'Invite a Friend'. Depending on the settings of the organizer you will find the QR code for physical sharing or a link.
You can do this right after you bought the tickets and installed the app. You don't have to wait until the day of the event.
Yes, everyone that is in the group has the same rights. Everyone can see the tickets, sell or use them. Only share the tickets with people you trust.
No, this is not possible. You can only be part of one group. You can invite other people that already have their own tickets. These tickets will also be added into your group.
You have two options:
Option 1: This person leaves the group and you can invite a new person. You (or we) can not delete someone. Always ask the person to leave your group.
Option 2: You can put this ticket up for sale. Read here how that works.
As owner of the tickets, you can share them with your group via a link. Here we explain step by step how:
- Download the app
- Open the app
- Log in with your phone number and the SMS code you receive. Note: you need to log in with the same number you used to purchase the tickets for the event. You can find this phone number in your confirmation email.
- Open the tickets by clicking on them
- Click on the text 'invite a friend' at the bottom
- When you share the first time, you will get a brief explanation of how it works.
- You will now receive a personal link that you can share via WhatsApp/ email or in another way with the person who receives the tickets. When this person opens the link, they will come to a screen stating that you want to share the tickets with them and wether they agree.
Note:
When you share your tickets with others, they get exactly the same rights over these tickets. They can now use these tickets independently, but also put them up for sale. So only share tickets with the people you know and trust.
If you bought the tickets and created the group, it means you can not leave. If this causes problems, please let us know so we can help you with a solution

If you have bought tickets for you and your friends, you can share them which each other in a group. This way everyone in the group can also show their ticket at the door and enter the event. An organization itself chooses whether the tickets can be shared remotely (via link) or not (via QR).
Please note that the person sharing tickets needs to be in the same place as the receiver of the tickets need to be in the same place to be able to share.
It can happen that your phone does not load the location correctly. You can solve this by opening GoogleMaps (or another map service), which reloads your location.
What could also help is if both of you turn your WiFi on.
Still not working? Please contact us.

No, you can only sell your tickets using GUTS.
GUTS tickets are protected from unwanted resale, which is why they only live in the GUTS ecosystem. If you could download the tickets as a PDF and sell it somewhere else, they could easily be used by scalpers or frauds, which is something we want to prevent at all costs. It is forbidden to sell screenshots of the ticket to others, because these won't work at the entrance.
You can sell your tickets via our app (on your phone/tablet). Don't have the app yet? Download it here and read how you sell your ticket(s) here.
Your ticket will be sold via our ticket market. You can check here how it works.
If you put your tickets up for sale in the secondary market you can copy the direct link which you can share on different websites like social media and with friends. This link always directs back to the official GUTS ticket market and makes sure the sale is done in a safe environment. This way the entrance of the buyer is always guaranteed.
